A week into the adventure now and only a few days left until Owen arrives at Marrakech airport to start the adventure proper!
So a quick summary...arrived in Morocco to the usual hassling African border control, ahhh so many more of these to come, since then have journeyed south through the Rif, Middle and High Atlas mountains to the base camp where I'm writing this from on the edge of the Sahara at Erg Chebbi.
Last night I was camped in the car park of a hotel with a foot of snow outside and tonight I'm camped on the edge of the Sahara in a picturesque oasis....ahhh travelling bliss!
I will endeavour to update the site as much as I can but finding a wireless connection can prove difficult and frustrating! To keep up to date with the latest diary/photos/route please follow the relevant links within afritrex.com, thank you!
